Alfred Giraud / Distillerie de Saint-Palais

Luxury French malt whisky house located between Bordeaux and Cognac. Partnership between the Giraud family (coopers and cellar masters in Cognac for generations) and the Nau family (cognac distillers since 1830). Equipped with own brewery, 14 copper Charentais stills of 2,500L each, plus one 10,000L still. Produces cognac Oct-Mar, whisky rest of year. Aged in very old cognac casks and virgin French oak from the family's own forestry. Whisky Advocate called it potentially the next great luxury whisky. Combines nearly three centuries of combined family distilling and cooperage expertise.
