Bercloux

A French whisky distillery located in the Cognac region of Charente-Maritime, drawing on the area's centuries of distilling expertise. Uses traditional Charentais copper alembic stills (the same type used for cognac production) to distill single malt whisky -- a unique marriage of French distilling tradition with whisky production. Matures whisky in ex-cognac and ex-wine casks sourced from neighboring Cognac and Bordeaux producers. The terroir overlap with France's greatest brandy region gives Bercloux a distinctive identity. Part of a growing movement of French distillers applying cognac and Armagnac distilling knowledge to whisky.
