Norway's oldest continuously operating spirits producer, founded by Captain Wilhelm Berentsen in 1895 as Egersunds Mineralvandfabrik. Now run by the 4th and 5th generation of the Berentsen family. Whisky production began in 2018 under the Vardberg brand (named after the local mountain). A new state-of-the-art whisky tasting center opened in 2024 in central Egersund. Also produces gin, aquavit, and craft beer. Located in the Stavanger region of southwestern Norway.
