About
A French single malt whisky produced in the heart of Cognac country, using the same copper pot stills and Limousin oak casks that produce the world's finest brandies. Founded by Allison Parc, an American entrepreneur who saw an opportunity to create a whisky that expressed French terroir through Cognac's distilling traditions. Brenne uses locally grown French barley, double-distills in cognac-style alembic pot stills, and ages primarily in new Limousin and Troncais French oak casks, along with cognac and Sauternes sweet wine casks. The result is a distinctly French whisky: fruity, floral, with notes of apricot, honey, vanilla, and baking spice that reflect the Cognac region's centuries of cask-making expertise. The Estate Cask and Ten single malts are the core expressions. Brenne elegantly answers the question: what happens when whisky meets cognac tradition? The answer is something delightfully its own.
