About
Spain's first and oldest whisky distillery, founded in 1959 by Nicomedes Garcia Gomez at the former Molino del Arco estate in Palazuelos de Eresma, Segovia. Spain's only Beam Suntory brand. Six pot stills with double distillation. 34 warehouses holding up to 200,000 barrels. Peak production reached 20M litres/year in the 1980s; current capacity 10M litres/year. Produces DYC Pure Malt, DYC Single Malt, and blended whiskies (malt + corn). The sherry cask-finished 12 Year Old is especially well-regarded. A hidden giant of European whisky and one of the continent's largest malt whisky producers.
