Organic-certified Austrian distillery in the Mostviertel (cider quarter) of Lower Austria. Josef Farthofer produces single malt whisky alongside award-winning organic fruit brandies and gin. All grains are sourced from certified organic farms within 30km of the distillery. Member of the Austrian Whisky Association (14 distilleries). Known for organic single malt aged in Austrian oak, wine, and fruit brandy casks. Multiple Destillata gold medals. Farthofer represents the organic-farming philosophy of Austrian whisky — no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, short supply chains. The Mostviertel's rolling hills and fruit orchards provide the terroir context.
