Destillerie Krauss

South Styrian distillery in the wine village of Straden, in one of Austria's premier wine-growing regions. Werner Krauss produces whisky alongside fruit brandies and gin. Member of the Austrian Whisky Association. The South Styrian terroir is defined by volcanic soils, steep hillside vineyards, and a mild microclimate influenced by the Mediterranean. Uses local grain and matures in South Styrian wine casks (the region is famous for Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, and Welschriesling). The wine-cask signature gives Krauss whiskies a distinctly Styrian character. Multiple Destillata awards for spirits.
