About

Craft whisky distillery in the Palatinate wine region, one of Germany's premier wine-growing areas. Thomas Sippel leverages the region's winemaking heritage for unique cask finishes — aging whisky in casks from local Pfalz Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Dornfelder wines. Also produces Palatine Single Malt aged in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. The mild Palatinate climate (Germany's warmest region, known as the 'German Tuscany') provides warmer maturation than the alpine distilleries. Won multiple Destillata awards. Represents the wine-country approach to German whisky — using terroir and local wine casks as the signature rather than mountain altitude.
