Distillerie Castan / Vilanova

Third-generation Castan family distillery in the Tarn, with roots going back to Gilbert Castan in 1941. Sebastien and Celine Castan built a new-generation distillery in 2007 and began their whisky project in 2010, creating the first whisky distillery in Occitanie. Manages every step from barley cultivation through malting, brewing, distillation, and aging. Uses a historic still dating from 1929. The Vilanova range (Occitan for 'Villeneuve') includes Berbie, Gost, Roja, Segala, and Terrocita expressions, winning gold and silver medals at the Paris Agricultural Competition.
