About
The oldest distillery in Alsace, founded in 1850 near Bischoffsheim before Yves Lehmann relocated to Obernai in 1993. Launched whisky production in 2000, becoming one of France's first whisky distillers, with first single malts bottled in 2007 as Elsass Whisky. Uses two Rump stills (1,200L and 600L) and ages in French white wine casks from Sauternes, Bordeaux, and Coteaux du Layon. First Alsatian distillery awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage) label in 2012. All whiskies carry the IGP Whisky d'Alsace designation.
