Champagne and Burgundy wine producer turned whisky distiller, located at 6 rue des Ponts in Buxeuil, Aube. The Moutard family has wine heritage dating to 1892 (Louis Diligent cultivating vines in 1906). Distillery founded 1980 by Jean Moutard. Became the first producer of 100% French whisky in Champagne. Unique production: malted barley juice sourced from five local artisan breweries, fermented on Champagne grape yeast for 3-5 days, distilled in 5 traditional copper pot stills, and aged exclusively in ex-Ratafia Champenois barrels for minimum 3 years. Also collaborates with Maddam brewery in Chablis for organic single malt using blonde barley malt matured in Ratafia de Bourgogne casks. Produces around 170,000 bottles of spirits annually across all products. Also makes gin, vodka, and fine de Champagne.
