About
Brittany's pioneering Celtic single malt distillery, founded in 1997 by Jean Donnay with first spirit flowing in December 1999. Glann ar Mor (Breton: 'at the edge of the sea') produces both unpeated single malt under its own name and heavily peated (30-35 ppm) whisky under the Kornog ('West Wind') brand. Kornog was voted European Whisky of the Year in Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2016. The distillery was dismantled in 2025 with plans to rebuild a new facility on the same seaside site to comply with updated regulations.
