Kamet

An Indian single malt whisky brand produced in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, at approximately 1,500m elevation in the Himalayan foothills. Named after Kamet, India's third-highest mountain peak. Distilled using Indian barley and aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and French oak casks. The high-altitude location provides cooler maturation temperatures than India's plains. Won Gold at the 2021 International Wine and Spirit Competition on its debut, signaling that India's single malt scene extends beyond the established four names.
