Kyro

Finland's only 100% rye whisky distillery, founded in 2012 in Isokyro. Born from a sauna conversation about why nobody makes rye whisky in Finland (a major rye-growing country). Uses a hybrid pot-column still (1,200L) for whisky production. Current capacity 85,000 LPA with expansion planned to 350,000 LPA via a second site with 9,000L and 7,000L stills plus eight 12,000L fermenters. Kyro Malt Rye Whisky is pot-distilled and aged 3-5 years in American oak. Also produces award-winning Napue Gin (World's Best Gin and Tonic gin 2015). A Nordic rye whisky pioneer.
