Mohan Meakin (Solan No. 1)

Home of Solan No. 1, one of India's oldest malt whisky brands, produced at the Kasauli distillery originally established by Edward Dyer -- widely credited as the father of Indian brewing and distilling. Among the oldest operating distilleries in Asia, set in the Himalayan hill station of Kasauli at approximately 1,800m elevation. Mohan Meakin Ltd (formerly Dyer Meakin Breweries) has produced malt whisky here for over a century, predating the modern Indian single malt movement by generations.
