Naguelann

Founded in 2014 near Saint-Malo by Lenaick Lemaitre, who became Brittany's first whisky blender before expanding into distillation. The name playfully rearranges his hometown Laguenan. Signature philosophy is 'Dour, Koad, Gedal' (Breton: Water, Wood, Time). Innovates with 'cask starting' rather than cask finishing, deciding each whisky's direction at inception. Produces both single malt and buckwheat-malt blends using four 1,000L alembics, with aging in ex-Bordeaux, ex-Islay, and new French oak casks. Available in the US through De Maison Selections.
