Whisky distillery at the southernmost tip of mainland Japan in Makurazaki, Kagoshima. Created by Satsuma shochu maker Nishi Shuzo. Began operation December 2019, released first single malt (The First Edition) November 2023. Miyake pot stills: 1,650L wash still and 600L spirit still (both indirect heating, upward lyne arm). Five 6,600L stainless steel washbacks. Located at altitude of 400 meters on the Satsuma Peninsula.
