Ouche Nanon

Organic micro-brewery-distillery in the heart of the Berry region, founded in 2010 by Thomas Mousseau, a former government agriculture and sustainability ministry worker. Brewery established 2010; distilling began 2015 after Mousseau trained at Glencadam and Royal Lochnagar in Scotland. First whisky bottled 2018. Original still: a vintage 1930s wood-fired Guillaume still (500L capacity) with column removed for redistillation. A second Charentais gas-fired still (the type used for Cognac) was acquired in 2018 to triple single malt production. All products use local organic raw materials. Produces single malt whisky plus single grain whiskies in maturation. Also brews organic craft beers. Member of the Federation du Whisky de France. Strong environmental commitment with use of local, organic ingredients throughout.
