Founded 1947 on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Italy's first grappa maker to produce single malt whisky (eRetico, launched 2016). Triple distillation process using interconnected old pot stills and small columns from their grappa setup. Distils whisky March-June outside grappa season with dedicated whisky yeast, 100+ hour fermentation. Matured in ex-grappa and ex-oloroso sherry casks, plus Gewurztraminer Passito casks.
