Spirit of Hven

An island distillery on Ven (Hven) in the Oresund strait between Sweden and Denmark, combining whisky production with a resort, restaurant, and observatory. Founded by Henric Molin on the island where 16th-century astronomer Tycho Brahe built his observatory. Produces organic single malt with meticulous attention to cask management -- uses a range of carefully selected oak types (Swedish, French, Spanish) and proprietary cask programs. The island's maritime climate and constant winds create dynamic maturation. Core expressions are named after stars and constellations (Dubhe, Merak, Alioth, Megrez -- the stars of Ursa Major). A distillery that marries science, history, and craft in one of Scandinavia's most distinctive locations.
