Stock Plzen (Pradlo)

Historic distillery on the outskirts of Plzen (Pilsen), part of Leonello Stock's Austro-Hungarian spirits empire (founded 1929). Began producing single malt whisky in 1984 under Communist-era direction. The team learned entirely from books and trial-and-error with no access to Scottish distilleries. Produced the legendary Hammerhead single malt, aged in Czech and Moravian oak with heavy char. Production stopped after the 1989 Velvet Revolution when Western whisky flooded the market. Stock Spirits purchased the business in 2007 and discovered thousands of forgotten ageing barrels. A Cold War whisky legend.
